Acute Care
What we mean by acute care:
Acute care is for people with acute health complaints and/or reactions to health limitations at all stages of life and in all inpatient, outpatient and home settings.
What does AFG Acute Care do?
- We promote and develop a nursing science perspective on informatics, eHealth and the use of Big Data and artificial intelligence.
- As a central concern, we promote the scientific discourse on Standardised Nursing Languages (SNLs).
- We promote the mapping of the nursing process in clinical information systems (CIS) through the use of standardised, research-based nursing classifications (nursing diagnoses, interventions, outcomes) to make nursing-sensitive patient outcomes measurable.
- We promote the development and study of quality of care using standardised clinical care data in acute care.
- We engage in exchange of experience and reflection on the practice field of acute care, practice development and research projects.
- We promote and develop scientific exchange and young academics in nursing in all settings of acute care.
