The recently introduced Article 117b of the Federal Constitution stipulates that all individuals are entitled to access sufficient and high-quality care, and that care professionals are offered attractive working conditions. This necessitates the development of novel models for determining the optimal staffing levels required to meet the anticipated demand. In collaboration with our academic societies, APSI has formulated a strategic model (logic model), which is undergoing further refinement in a scientific working group with the input of various interest groups.
