Goals and objectives

Our task is to strengthen the political influence of the VFP/APSI in the nursing sciences and in nursing practice. To this end

• we advise the VFP/APSI Board and the academic societies on health policy issues and consultations,
• we monitor and interpret political developments at cantonal and national level that affect nursing practice, nursing research and nursing training, e.g. in the development of nursing roles (Advanced Practice Nurses, Chief Nurse Officer),
• we promote health policy expertise within the VFP/APSI Board of Directors and the academic societies,
• we maintain a network of stakeholders consisting of political actors and institutions, healthcare organizations and educational institutions, which is constituted by health policy content,
• we provide information on current health policy events,
• we establish a connection between the SRAN and the current political developments
