Overview of specialized bodies
A central role of the VFPS is the networking of nursing professionals, the creation of best practice, knowledge transfer and support in research projects in academic nursing.
The Academic Professional Societies (AFG) are specialized professional groups dedicated to specific topics and areas of nursing science. They promote the exchange of knowledge, enable the discussion of current research findings and contribute to the development of standards in nursing practice. Members of an AFG benefit from the exchange of experience in practice and research, the pooling of specialist expert knowledge and mutual support in the development of best practice, pioneering guidelines, articles and research plans.
The commissions on the other hand, as specialist commissions, support strategic planning and decision-making in various areas of nursing science. They deal with overarching, strategic and future-oriented issues in the field of nursing science;
The activities of the AFGs and commissions actively contribute to the academization of nursing within the VPF (Association for Nursing Science) and thus ultimately benefit society as a whole.
Are you trained in nursing science and interested in working in an AFG or commission? The You can find the registration form here. Membership of an AFG requires membership of the VFP.
