Ward Manager, Geriatric Psychiatry, 80–100%
Spital Affoltern AG is seeking a candidate with strong leadership skills and professional expertise to serve as a ward manager in the field of geriatric psychiatry.
Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the clinical and personnel management of our geriatric psychiatry unit, which currently has 16 beds and provides diagnosis, treatment, and care for older adults (typically age 65 and older). You will organize and coordinate ward operations, create needs-based staffing schedules, and ensure that care processes run smoothly. Responsibilities: You will plan and conduct research in the field of systematic reviews as well as using methods of pluralistic empirical field research (quantitative and qualitative, particularly ethnographic). You will play a key role in the co-development of complex interventions and the conduct of feasibility studies. In doing so, you will collaborate within an international and interprofessional research team. The publication and dissemination of research findings in scientific journals and at conferences round out your responsibilities.
Requirements: For the Ph.D. program, you must hold a master’s degree; for the postdoctoral position, you must hold a Ph.D. in nursing and/or health sciences, sociology, psychology, or a related field. Professional and/or research experience in the context of dementia or elderly care is desirable. Excellent command of English and German is required.
