The AFG Cardiovascular Nursing is an association of scientifically trained nursing professionals. We are committed to providing the best possible care for people with cardiac or cerebrovascular diseases and their relatives
Why do we need nursing science?
Many people, from newborns to the very elderly, are affected by cardiac or cerebrovascular diseases, sometimes both. The nursing care of these often chronically ill people and the care of their relatives is an increasing challenge. In order to develop nursing practice effectively, it is necessary to generate new knowledge. In doing so, we rely on patient experiences, expert opinions from care professionals and current research. This is the task of nursing science: to create and disseminate this knowledge.
