About us
The AFG Rehabilitation Care is an association of academically trained care professionals. We empower people and their family environment to shape their everyday lives independently after illness, accidents or disabilities
Rehabilitation is a rapidly developing specialist area. Due to demographic change, developments in the Swiss healthcare system and medical progress, rehabilitation care is becoming increasingly important.
As a result, nurses are increasingly specializing in rehabilitation care. This also increases the need to translate newly generated knowledge from research into practice.
We promote nursing research in the rehabilitative field and contribute to the evidence-based development of rehabilitation nursing.
This is what we want to achieve
AFG Rehabilitation Nursing supports the professionalization of nursing care through:
- National and international networking
- Development of standards and guidelines
- Publicizing and strengthening the rehabilitative aspects of care
- Development of research-based evidence
- Promoting specialized further training
- Offering an exchange platform for projects in rehabilitative care
- Mutual information about projects in research and practice
- Interprofessional collaboration
