Board

Further development within the board

The Board of Directors is currently on its summer break. However, we are not idle, but are enjoying the vacation time and taking the opportunity to catch up on ongoing activities.

Important to know: The VfP has decided to remain a member of the "alliance care" founded by the SBK, but currently not to participate in the newly founded umbrella organization «alliance care - Dachverband Pflege Schweiz» to participate. This does not change anything for the VfP at the moment.

We have also convened a meeting with all (co-)presidents of the VfP's specialist societies and other important partners. The aim is to bundle activities relating to Advanced Practice Nursing in education, research and politics. We are looking forward to this important exchange.

Office

At the end of July, it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Simone Marending, who was responsible for the NDT and the communication of the VfP-APSI. We would like to thank her warmly for her valuable work, her reliability and her role in further development - and wish her all the best for her next steps!

At the same time, we are delighted to have found a competent successor in Lukas Steiger: He will join us on September 1 and brings valuable experience from his work at the Swiss Floorball Association, where he was responsible for association development. We would like to welcome him already now!

In addition, after changing financial institutions and other facilities, we are finally ready to send invoices, even if very few people are happy to receive them.

Fiona Stehrenberger will continue to be the primary contact person for VfP_APSI members.

AFG Updates

AFG Rehabilitation Care, online survey position paper on rehabilitation care

On behalf of the Academic Society for Rehabilitation Nursing (AFG Rehabilitation Nursing) and the Rehabilitation Nursing Interest Group (IGRP), the Institute of Health Sciences at the OST Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences is conducting a nationwide online survey on rehabilitation nursing in Switzerland.

The aim of this survey is to shed light on the role of rehabilitation care. The results will be prepared in the form of a position paper

The survey is aimed at nursing staff working in rehabilitation in the areas of management, training and specialist expertise at all management levels and/or with additional functions. For example, nursing management, ward managers, training managers, trainers, nursing experts, technical experts or technical managers.

We would like to invite you to participate. Your participation is important! You will help to highlight the valuable work of rehabilitation nursing and clarify the tasks and activities of this professional group. Please take the time to complete the following questionnaire:

Publications

We are pleased to present the revised ONE-Pager "Care needs quality in the updated 2nd edition. The one-pagers highlight key measures to promote the training and employment of university-qualified nurses.

The publication was produced jointly by the three nursing science associations in German-speaking countries. Our special thanks go to Prof. Andrea Brenner from the OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule (representative of the VfP, Switzerland), Dr. Simon Krutter from the Paracelsus Medical Private University Salzburg (representative of the Society for Nursing Science, Austria) and Dr. Sandra Strube-Lahmann, deputy spokesperson for the section on university nursing education (representative of the German Society for Nursing Science), for their valuable work.

On behalf of the AFG Psychiatric Nursing and the Association of Nursing Cadres in Psychiatry Switzerland (www.vpps.ch), a working group of psychiatric nurses (including members of the AFG psychiatric nursing), a patient and a relative have drawn up a Charter for psychiatry without coercion which is explicitly aimed at the responsibility of psychiatric nurses, but can of course be discussed and used in an interprofessional context.

For general suggestions and information, the contact persons for the Academic Society of Psychiatric Nursing are the two co-presidents Dr. Caroline Gurtner and Ursina Zehnder, via Mail reachable.
